We have recently made some changes in DRM (copy protection / digital rights management) that might cause this error message. The in-stream message should disappear after a few seconds. If the picture remains black, check the following steps:
Mobile App:
- Update to the latest Zattoo app version on your iOS / Android device.
- Do not use the mobile browser for streaming Zattoo on your device.
- Update the software of your device.
- Reinstall the Zattoo app.
Zattoo on the web on your computer (Mac / Windows):

Update the software of your device.
- Browser update: Make sure that your browser is up-to-date. This can be checked here.
- Do not use an external Screen via HDMI.
- Clear cookies and cache - click on your browser for an instruction:
- Try a different browser if the issue remains.
- Please note that Linux is not officially supported and therefore we cannot guarantee trouble-free usage.
Smart TV:
- Update the software on your device.
- Use the Zattoo app installed from app store of your device.
- Do not use any incompatible devices or not supported cable connection.
- Reinstall the Zattoo app.
