Allocation Service Region:
Your Zattoo account is usually associated with your country of residence or the country in which you created the account.
Example: You have created your Zattoo account in Switzerland. This account is therefore assigned to the Service Region Switzerland. The same applies to an account created in Germany.
Please note: Outside these two countries, it is not possible to register an account or your Zattoo account will be assigned to a country, in which we do not provide our service.
The use of the service outside the country, which your Zattoo account is assigned to (your Service Region) is subject to your access rights, which are defined differently for Zattoo Germany and Switzerland. For a complete overview on this topic, please read the article Using Zattoo abroad.
If you receive the error message: "Unfortunately streaming is not permitted in this country. Apparently, you are outside your country’s borders." this can be due to different causes:
Zattoo FREE - only for usage within your country’s borders:
You are using our Zattoo FREE service and are outside the country, in which you signed up your account. The use is only possible within your service region. If your account is incorrectly assigned, you can create a new account in the country you are currently in (Germany and Switzerland only) at any time with a different email. If you want to use the same e-mail address for this, first delete your account and then create the new account (delete account). Alternatively, contact our support for the technical conversion of the service region to the correct country. In order to help you as quickly as possible, make sure to provide us with the following information via our contact form:
- Your Zattoo email address
- The country in which you would like to use our service: Germany or Switzerland
Zattoo PREMIUM / ULTIMATE
If you are using our pay service, the service region is not set correctly and you have a German subscription instead of a Swiss subscription or vice versa, please contact our support via our contact form. In order to help you as quickly as possible, please send us your Zattoo email address for verification.
Please note: By changing your account to another service region, your previous access rights will change. PREMIUM and ULTIMATE subscriptions are not identical in Germany and Switzerland. Wrong IP-address: Check and deactivate VPN / Proxies
To use our service, you need a correctly assigned IP-address. The IP-address depends on the geographic address of your internet service provider or the IP address of the provider. If the IP-address is not assigned to the country in which you can use our service or is not clearly identifiable, our service will be blocked and you will receive an error message. Please restart your router, deactivate VPN and proxies and check again. To check your IP-address, please go to http://www.wieistmeineip.de/
If you can exclude the use of VPN / proxies, if you are in the country where you can use our service in accordance with your access rights and the service still remains blocked, please contact our support via our contact form. In order to help you as quickly as possible, please send us the following information:
- your Zattoo email address
- the IP address determined above
- your postal code
- your place of residence
