On July 11, 2023, there were changes of the channel list. This was being done to comply with legal requirements that are mandatory for media platforms and for providers of user interfaces under the Interstate Treaty on the Media (MStV).
The changes of the channel list serve to ensure that certain offerings - so-called public value offerings - can be easily found in the designed user interface.
We do not make the classification as a public value offer ourselves. By changing the channel list, we are implementing an order of programs recommended by the media authorities to ensure that public-value content is easy to find. We are thus fulfilling a legal obligation.
With Zattoo, however, you can still sort channels as you like via our favorites list. This is easy to do in a few steps and once created, favorites are not affected by changes in the channel list, so they remain unchanged. Here you can find instructions on how to create a favorites list in your Zattoo app:
Since the classification as a public-value offering is reviewed cyclically by the state media authorities, the channel list may be changed again - at longer intervals.
