To use Zattoo properly on your NVIDIA SHIELD, make sure you have the latest app and software version installed. In addition, we have a few first aid tips to help you solve minor problems directly. Please go through these steps one by one and try the next one if the issue remains:
1. Delete the Zattoo app and reinstall it:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Zattoo TV.
- Select Updates installieren.
- Restart your device: Settings > Restart.
2. Software updates for NVIDIA SHIELD:
All software updates for SHIELD are directly pushed by NVIDIA. If an update is available, a corresponding message will appear in the Android TV recommendation bar. After confirmation, the system automatically downloads and installs the update. This can be checked here: Settings > About > System upgrade.
3. Clear Data/Clear cache:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Zattoo TV.
- Select Clear data/Clear cache.
4. Check and optimise your network connection:

5. Reset to factory settings::
- Go to Settings.
- Select Storage & Reset.
- Select Factory data reset.
Check the Location in Settings is set to Germany / Switzerland / Austria in case the Zattoo TV app has disappeared from your featured apps in Home screen:
Settings > Location > Location status > Use Wi-Fi to estimate location.
