In order to fix an issue on NVIDIA SHIELD, please go through the following steps:
1. Delete the Zattoo app and reinstall it:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Zattoo TV.
- Select Updates installieren.
- Restart your device: Settings > Restart.
2. Software updates for NVIDIA SHIELD:
All software updates for SHIELD are directly pushed by NVIDIA. If an update is available, a corresponding message will appear in the Android TV recommendation bar. After confirmation, the system automatically downloads and installs the update. This can be checked here: Settings > About > System upgrade.
3. Clear Data/Clear cache löschen/Daten löschen:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Zattoo TV.
- Select Clear data/Clear cache.
4. Check your internet connection:
The app will only work properly if your Internet connection is constantly stable. For a stable transmission we recommend a LAN connection (cable connection). WLAN (i.e. a wireless connection) can be affected by many factors that are not apparent at first glance and is much more susceptible to errors than a cable connection.
Note: For users who have not laid any cables directly at home or in the apartment, there is the option of laying LAN via a socket (e.g. Powerline adapter from Devolo or Fritz). Here you can also find a Powerline adapter comparison.
5. Reset to factory settings::
- Go to Settings.
- Select Storage & Reset.
- Select Factory data reset.
Check the Location in Settings is set to Germany/Switzerland in case the Zattoo TV app has disappeared from your featured apps in Home screen:
Settings > Location > Location status > Use Wi-Fi to estimate location.
