In this article, you will learn how to add a new payment method or change the active payment method for your Zattoo subscription.
Please note:
These instructions only apply to active subscriptions booked directly via the Zattoo website.
If your subscription was booked via Apple, Google Play, Amazon or another third-party provider, the payment method must be managed directly there.
If your subscription has already expired or the automatic renewal has failed, you must book it again. Adding a new payment method does not automatically reactivate an ended subscription.

1. Requirements
You can manage your payment methods if:
your subscription was booked directly via the Zattoo website
your subscription is currently still active
you are logged in to your Zattoo account on the web
Important:
Payment methods cannot be managed in the mobile apps or TV apps.
If your subscription has already ended, you need to book it again via Upgrade.
2. Add a new payment method
To add a new payment method:
Log in to your Zattoo account on the web:
LoginGo to Settings.
Click Manage my account.
Go to Subscriptions.
Under the subscription for which you want to add a payment method, click Manage subscription.
Select Add payment method.
Choose the payment method you want:
Credit card
PayPal
PostFinance Card (Switzerland only)
TWINT (Switzerland only)
Enter your payment details completely and correctly.
Important when using a credit card:
card number
expiry date
CVV security code
If verification by your payment provider is required, please complete it fully and do not close the window too early.
3. Special case: Klarna and PostFinance eFinance
Klarna and PostFinance eFinance cannot be added as payment methods to an already active subscription.
These payment methods are only available when you book a subscription again via Upgrade.

4. Change the payment method for an active subscription
If you have already added your payment method, you can select it for your active subscription.
Here’s how:
Log in to your Zattoo account on the web.
Go to Settings > Manage my account > Subscriptions.
Under the relevant subscription, click Manage subscription.
Open the selection next to Payment methods.
Choose the saved payment method you want.
Activate it for your subscription.
The newly selected payment method will be used for future charges.
Important:
The change does not apply retroactively to payments already made.
An already active subscription will not be reactivated or renewed as a result.
5. Subscription already ended or renewal failed
If your subscription has already expired or the automatic renewal has failed, you cannot simply update the payment method to reactivate the subscription.
In this case, you need to book the subscription again for your account.
During the new booking process, you can add a new payment method and authorize it for future charges.

6. Subscription via app store or third-party provider
If your subscription was booked via one of the following providers, the payment method is managed there:
Apple
Google Play
Amazon
other third-party providers
In these cases, changing the payment method is not possible through your Zattoo account.
Please contact the respective provider directly.
