With recordings, you can save programmes and watch them later in your personal recordings list.
Which options are available depends on your country, your subscription and the licensing rules of the broadcasters.

1. What are recordings?
Programmes can be added to your personal recordings list and will be available there once the recording has been completed.
You can access your recordings with your Zattoo account on all devices on which you are logged in.
2. Can I download recordings?
Recordings can only be played online and are not available for download.
3. Which subscriptions include recordings?
The availability of recordings depends on the country of use and your subscription.
Germany
Recordings are available with Zattoo Ultimate:
You can store a total of 100 recordings, regardless of the length of the recording.
Recordings Plus can be booked in addition and provides space for 50 more recordings.
The retention period for recordings is 2 years. After 2 years, recordings are automatically deleted.
Live programmes and future programmes can be recorded, provided that recording is available for the respective content.
Austria
Recordings are available with Zattoo Ultimate:
You can store a total of 100 recordings, regardless of the length of the recording.
Recordings Plus can be booked in addition and provides space for 50 more recordings.
The retention period for recordings is 2 years. After 2 years, recordings are automatically deleted.
All programmes available in the programme guide can be recorded, provided that recording is available for the respective content.
Switzerland
Recordings are available with Zattoo Premium and Zattoo Ultimate.
With Premium, you can record 1000 programmes. The retention period is 2 years from the recording date.
With Ultimate, you have space for 2000 recordings. The retention period is 2 years from the recording date.
With Recordings Plus, you can store an additional 250 recordings.
With Recordings Plus, your recordings are stored permanently and are not subject to a 2-year retention period.
The number of recordings always applies regardless of the length of the recording.
In principle, all programmes available in the Guide with Premium or Ultimate can be recorded.
Additional channel packages
For additional channel packages, the following applies:
Not every channel can be recorded.
Not every programme can be recorded.
If a recording is not possible, the record button is not shown.
Recording is only possible if the required base subscription is active on the account.
4. Licensing restrictions for recordings
Depending on the channel and content, different licensing restrictions apply to recordings.
This may mean:

Germany: recordings from RTL channels are stored in SD.
Switzerland: recordings are automatically deleted after 2 years, unless Recordings Plus has also been booked. Recordings with channel-specific rights restrictions will still expire, even with this add-on. These recordings are marked accordingly in the Zattoo app.
5. Important note about restoring your recordings and transferring them to other account
If a subscription ends, recordings can only be restored under certain conditions, namely only if a new subscription is booked on the same account within 7 days.
Recordings cannot be transferred to other Zattoo accounts.
6. Note about the video stream
The video stream automatically includes a few minutes before and after the actual programme. As a result, you may see the end of the previous programme at the beginning or the start of the next programme at the end.
