Here's how to change your Zattoo subscription from a monthly to a yearly plan – or the other way around. Your current plan (e.g. Premium or Ultimate) stays the same; only the billing period changes. If you subscribed directly through Zattoo, you can switch without cancelling. With third-party providers like Apple, Google Play, or Amazon, a cancellation and re-subscription is required. Find the exact steps for your provider below.

The available options depend on where and in which country you originally purchased your subscription.

1. Important information
Your plan remains the same (e.g. Premium stays Premium).
Only the billing cycle changes (1 month or 12 months).
In many cases, you must cancel your current subscription first.
The new subscription starts only after the current billing period ends.
2. Subscribed directly via Zattoo
If you purchased your subscription directly via Zattoo, you can change your billing cycle easily through your Zattoo account on the website.
You do not need to cancel your current subscription.
This is how to:
Log in at www.zattoo.com/login
Click on Upgrade.
Select your subscription.
Click on Continue.
Select your preferred billing cycle (monthly or annual).
Select your payment method.
Confirm your purchase.
Important:
Payment for the new monthly or annual billing cycle may be processed immediately.
Your current subscription will remain active until the end of the already paid billing period.
The new billing cycle will start automatically afterwards.
No parallel subscription will be created.
3. Apple – Germany & Austria
In Germany and Austria, annual subscriptions are not available via Apple.
If you would like to switch to an annual plan:
Cancel your current Apple subscription.
Wait until it has fully expired.
Subscribe to the annual plan directly via your Zattoo account on our website.

4. Apple – Switzerland
Premium (Switzerland)
Switching between monthly and annual billing is possible, but only after cancellation.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
Tap your name
Tap Subscriptions
Select Zattoo
Choose the desired billing cycle (e.g. 12 months)
Ultimate (Switzerland)
An annual Ultimate subscription is not available via Apple.
To switch to an annual plan:
Cancel your Apple subscription.
Wait until it expires.
Subscribe to Ultimate (12 months) directly via your Zattoo account on our website.

If you would like to subscribe to Ultimate with a 12-month billing cycle:

7. Amazon
A direct billing cycle change is not possible via Amazon.
Important:
If you subscribe to a new plan without cancelling the existing one first, both subscriptions will run in parallel.
This is how to:
Cancel your current Amazon subscription.
Wait until it expires.
Subscribe again with your preferred billing cycle via Amazon.
8. Important note about recordings
Your recordings will remain available as long as:
there is no subscription interruption longer than 7 days, and
you subscribe again using the same Zattoo account.
If the interruption exceeds 7 days, recordings may be deleted.
