1. Why does this message appear?
Some programmes cannot be streamed online because the broadcaster does not hold the necessary online distribution rights.
This may affect certain films, series, or sports events.
When such content is broadcast, the following message appears:
“Protected content. This programme cannot be shown for legal reasons.”
Zattoo is bound by the licensing agreements of the broadcasters and has no control over these restrictions.
2. What does the ⊖ symbol mean?
Unavailable content is marked on some devices with a ⊖ symbol in the programme guide.
This means:
- The programme is available on traditional TV
- Online streaming is not permitted
Once the restricted programme ends, regular streaming resumes automatically.
3. Is this a technical issue?
No. It is purely a licensing restriction.
This message is not related to:
- your internet connection
- your device
- DRM/HDCP issues
- your subscription
4. What can you do?
The content cannot be unlocked.
You can:
- wait until the protected programme ends
- switch to another available channel
