To use Zattoo properly on your iPhone or iPad, make sure that both the Zattoo app and your iOS system are up to date.
Follow the steps below in the given order and only move on to the next step if the issue persists.

1. Important note on iOS versions
The current Zattoo app supports iOS 13 or later. Older iOS versions are no longer supported. Issues on unsupported systems cannot be resolved.
2. Fully close the Zattoo app
Fully close the Zattoo app using the swipe gesture.
Close all other apps running in the background.
Then reopen the Zattoo app.

3. Restart your device
Restart your iPhone or iPad completely.
Then open the Zattoo app again.
4. Check for updates
Make sure that:
the latest iOS version is installed
the latest version of the Zattoo app is installed from the App Store

5. Delete and reinstall the app
Delete the Zattoo app from your device.
Download the app again from the App Store.
Then sign in again.

6. Check network and connection
Check your current internet connection and network:
Disconnect from Wi-Fi and reconnect.
If possible, test the 5 GHz band on your Wi-Fi.
Check whether other devices on the same network can stream without issues.
Test a mobile data connection or a different Wi-Fi network.

Please note:
Public or hotel Wi-Fi networks may restrict or block streaming.
These networks often use firewalls, filters or bandwidth limits.
Mobile data connections may also be limited depending on coverage or your tariff.
Also make sure that:
No other apps or devices are using a large amount of bandwidth at the same time.
No hotspot or restricted network is being used.
Reduce the bitrate in the Zattoo app:
Settings → Bitrate settings → Mobile/Wi-Fi → Low
7. Disable VPN, Private Relay or proxy
Zattoo may be blocked if your IP address is masked or routed via third parties.
Please check:
Whether a VPN app, VPN profile, iCloud Private Relay or proxy is active.
Fully disable these services.
Restart your router.
Test the connection again.
Check your current IP address here.
8. Disable ad blockers or content filters
If the stream does not start after advertising:
disable any active ad blockers, DNS filters or content filters
restart the Zattoo app afterwards
